Documentation for available optimization settings
This topic lists and describes the optimization settings that you can configure in StormForge.
To set these values, use annotations as described in any of these topics: Configure clusters, Configure namespaces, or Configure workloads.
To view settings for individual workloads in the StormForge UI, click Workloads in the left navigation; then, click a workload name in the list and then click the Settings tab.
Optimization goal
Recommendations are based on your risk tolerance and goal
Schedule
Schedule and validity period define when StormForge generates recommendations and their lifetime
Apply settings
Enable automatic deployment, configure the learning period, set optional thresholds to skip low-impact recommendations, and choose an apply method
Reliability response
Configure StormForge to respond to OOM events with a temporary memory bump-up
CPU and memory
These settings define how CPU and memory resources are optimized
HPA
Configure how StormForge interacts with HPA-managed workloads
Runtime
These settings define how runtime-specific recommendations are applied to workloads
Pod scheduling
These settings define how pods are scheduled onto specific nodes
